Women’s Economic and Leadership Opportunities Fund – Call for Proposals 2026
The Women’s Economic and Leadership Opportunities Fund 2026, administered by Women and Gender Equality Canada (WAGE) supports projects that improve women’s access to economic and leadership opportunities by addressing systemic barriers and the root causes of inequality.
This call for proposals focuses on projects that create systemic change including changes to policies, practices, decision-making structures, networks, resource distribution, and social attitudes that impact women’s participation and advancement in economic and leadership roles.
The maximum amount of funding for the whole project is
up to $625,000 for projects with a local reach
up to $1,000,000 for projects with a regional, provincial, territorial, interprovincial, and interterritorial reach
up to $1,400,000 for projects with a pan-Canadian reach

The deadline to submit applications is September 15, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Pacific Time. Organizations have approximately 10 weeks to prepare and submit their applications.
Information sessions
Virtual information sessions lasting approximately 90 minutes are offered via Microsoft Teams.
